High Section
The gently radiused curves of the seat and leg provide a consistent element throughout the range. Presented in solid walnut, white oak and blackened oak with base and footrest finished to textured black. The Rook Stools are made and assembled in Australia and available in three heights as well as an upholstered top option to suit a range of indoor contexts.

High Section
High Section refers to the hypothetical cross-sections of landscapes, revealing a
variety of structures and interspaces, of architectural styles, textures and
materiality. A mental image that is further shaped by the appearances of
archaeological sites and then translated into a cabinet with varying shelves, both
in the way they look and feel and in the rhythm of their spacing.
Materials and Finishes: Brass
Dimension – 30’’ W x 17’’ D x 61’’ H
Chimneys were the inspiration for this brass shelving-system, particularly the ones
found on buildings in Belgium.
“In Belgium you have a lot of chimneys in the landscape that don’t have a function
anymore,” said Tangelder. “They’re quite dominant, with this conical shape. I wanted
to take this architectural remnant and give it a new function.”
The piece is made from brass but, instead of a polish finished, Tangelder chose to
give it a softer, brushed finish. “It becomes much lighter, much less gold,” she added
